All art should have a story, this is hers.
Every year a mother whale brings her calf through the beach near my house. We all watch as she drifts through our little part of the reef, protecting and displaying her new young. 
This artwork was inspired by the change she's made in our small part of the world. She inspires change. Change towards a clean ocean, change for our people and change with in ourselves. 
I made her not what a whale looks like but what a whale is. With big deep soulful eyes she tells her story.
